Shadows On Walls Canvas Print

On one of the coldest days of the season, the sun shone brightly, casting beautiful shadows on the houses in Lawrenceville, across my backyard. What I love about this photograph is how the shadows blend seamlessly with the dried vine on the beige wall, the striking contrast of the blue sky, and the fox artwork by Pittsburgh mural artist Jeremy Raymer in the corner - looking as though it’s truly hiding behind the tree. The maroon and red buildings on the right balance the beige house and the blue sky.

Sanjay Marathe is a photographic artist with over 30 years experience. He blends technique and creative vision in his landscapes, cityscapes and nature themes. Born in 1966 in Mumbai, he grew up in Kanpur and Mumbai in India. His journey with photography began in the age of film cameras at the young age of thirteen, evolving from a hobby into a lifelong passion. He got a degree in commerce and secured an admit to the Govt. law college in Mumbai. But when he realized that photography was in his heart, he gave up law study and chose to persue his passion.
